1+^ agree with you. the game has soooo many differant tactical approaches to tackle. beaten the game about 4 1/2 times now. (i run the same settings btw)

overall, i thought the gameplay was much similar (but more advanced) to stalker's style of combat. curious to know whats going to be in crysis 2

I prefered old crysis to crysis warhead. It is a much more cerebral game. While L4D style of shooters are cool, crysis was and is very good. I own crysis legally, great game, dazzling graphics.

Now, if they want to port the to Xbox or PS3, they should include some kind of software and infiniband addons. You will really need to cluster them to play nicely.

It is held back because they are trying to figure out how to make even more draconian DRM than was in the first one. They will also probably write it for the kiddie consoles first then have some crap port to the PC (remember Deus Ex, the invisable war piece of crap port), thus killing the game for any serious gamer faster than their freaking DRM.

Yeah everyone complaining about the new Cryengine needs to calm down and realize that it is a dumbed down version of its previous incarnation in order to be playable on consoles. No new rig will be needed for the next yawn factory. Poor PC Gaming, Rage is going to be a console port as well :(

At least Crysis was almost bug-free compared to other games with good stories and gameplay but the reviewer usually writes "if you could look past the bugs, this is actually a good game".

Yeah, we're just waiting to get our hands on dual 5870s to run in crossfire so we can work on the medium settings for the game. We'll just port the med-low to the 360 and the low to the PS3 because we don't feel like optimizing anything.

It's funny that the majority of computers out there are barely able to run Crysis at minimum detail settings, in DX9.
Even the best computers are barely able to get fluid framerates at maximum settings.
How will they improve the game? Based on a 16 core CPU with 8 or 9 GB RAM, and 2x2 core graphics cards in SLI?

[citation][nom]ChaosGS[/nom]Same graphics same engine better FPS, maybe you should play both games before commenting.Crysis had amazing graphics and the gameplay had HIGH potential but they got to wrapped up in the graphics to give it a good story better weapons and alot of other things it needed. Hopefully this one will be better.[/citation]

crysis uses cryengine 1. crysis warhead uses cryengine 2. while basically the same engine there r differences. the easiest difference to spot is in the explosions.

"Sorry, no Crysis 2 for you this year."

Don't be sorry. The game was a POS. The original Doom and all its clones (Heretic, ROTT, Duke3d by far) had better gameplay.
