Hello everyone,
While playing CS2, I’m experiencing some screen tearing or flickering, and because of this, I don’t feel the smoothness of 144Hz. Both my system and monitor are set to 144Hz, and my FPS is around 200. However, it still doesn’t behave like a true 144Hz experience — it feels like I’m playing at a lower refresh rate.
Things I’ve tried so far:
Even though my FPS is high and the monitor is set to 144Hz, the game doesn’t “flow” like it should. It’s hard to describe, but it feels like there are micro stutters or subtle jittering. It’s as if the screen isn’t gliding smoothly, but instead dragging slightly — like playing on a rough or uneven surface instead of a smooth one. This makes it hard to enjoy the fluidity 144Hz is supposed to offer.
My system specs:
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions to fix this? I’d really appreciate your help!

Things I’ve tried so far:
- Uninstalled and reinstalled GPU drivers using DDU
- Optimized my display settings
- Tried enabling V-Sync
- Tested with a different 144Hz monitor
- Switched to a different DisplayPort cable
