So I have an odd problem. Whenever I startup CS:GO I get a massive amount of stuttering and freezing from my internet. I am on ethernet, have good ping (30-50) and my ping never spikes. It also does not show any spikes in choke or loss ingame, so im wondering what could be causing this? I've reset my router, changed my ethernet cable, and I have plenty of bandwidth. Should I call my ISP?

Solution
When you run ping for while, like 10 min, are there ping spikes sometimes? If yes it could be your modem/router, if you can borrow from some friend same one to test it would be best.
If you have nvidia card, try stop and disable nvidia streamer service, it can cause this sometimes too.
Ethernet is just name for cable based local network, it should not have anything to do with your internet speed or latency if it is faster than your provided internet. As for cs:go, are you connecting to your fastest and closest server?

Yes, always.

Just ran ping for a few min, spikes to 1500 a lot, guess it is my router/modem.
