News CUDIMMs overclocked to DDR5-12108 to set new RAM OC world record — Intel's new Arrow Lake CPUs catapult CUDIMMs past the DDR5-12000 barrier

I was happy when I went from DDR4 3000 C14 to DDR5 6000 C30. In just a few years all the kinks should be worked out and 12000 will be normal so it will probably be my next memory upgrade.

CUDIMMs are pretty cool. Until these got released, I really haven't been very impressed by DDR5 enough to justify and upgrade from my kit running 64GB Quad Channel DDR4-4000 @ CL-16-16-16-36. If only U9-285K wasn't so disappointing. I shall continue to wait to upgrade. Probably got a year or so left until upgrading becomes a necessity.

Cudimms are a double edged sword. They allow 400-600 higher megatransfer speeds on ram but the ckd chip increases latency a bit.
