Curvature amount question

My 27" 3D monitor just got a big gash in the center so I'm looking to just go get one of these curved monitors. Im looking to go with 34" and 21:9 ratio with no 4k because my system isn't that powerful. I kept hearing that certain curvature types give you a more "immersive" view so I want to know if anyone knows what that curve number would be? I see 1800r mostly but I want to make sure I know what curve to look for to get that imerssive gaming experience I hear curve monitor owners speak about. Thanks

Is there much of a variation of the curvature? Which 34 21x9 monitors are you looking?

I'm a happy ASUS PG348Q user and the curve is very shallow really. It seems to work well. By that I mean I'm not aware of it. I'm not having to rotate my head to see from side to side. I'm not really aware that the curve is there, which I think is the point and purpose. If it's perceived then it's wrong. On the flip side I don't know if it matters too much, but I have the feeling that it does make a difference. Without it it might cause a slight lean to see the clock on the task bar or the start button on the other end. Where with it, a flick of the eyes is enough.

If you're really bothered or curious. Get some hardboard and build yourself a rig...
your eyes will like things we may not.
My advise is to go to a store and actually look at a few models at your viewing distance and get the specs (curvature angle) from the one that feels right and go from there. then you will know what works for your eyes and can get the right one.
keyboards and monitors are very personal and the decision should be based on Your senses.

Maybe you can make a suggestion according to your preference or the preference of someone you know since I can't go try out a 34" 21:9 in my location? Do you think more curve would be better or is 1800r the standard curvature because beyond that you lose some peripheral view? Just any advice would be helpful

I don't have a curved monitor experience. thousand of monitors in my life I prefer a triple monitor setup.

the curvature will be more pronounced the closer you are to the screen. the farther your viewing distance the less the curvature will matter.

As for the immersive gaming experience. It's not a wrap-round VR type of immersion. It's the aspect ratio that gives it. The 21x9 is a little more what your eyes see that 16x9. So the screen tends to fill your field of view more. The curve just helps to reduce the head movements.
