I am in the process of making a new build system, currently i have plugged in:

Cooler Master GX 650w
i7 920 Processor
Zalman Heatsink and Fan

All this is connected to my Asus P6X58D-E motherboard,

I also have the other components: GTX 560 Gfx card, 8 gig (2x Matched 4gig Corsair Vengence DDR3 1600MHZ) Ram, 1TB HD etc etc.

Any way back on subject, I am trying to trouble shoot why my system isnt powering on, when the above 3 items are connected to the mobo and i press the power button all I get is a sound from the PSU then it powers off again. All the while it is plugged in the lights on the mobo are on, but I get no movement from any fans etc.

I have tried re-seating the PSU and checked all my power connections are secure. Any ideas what it may be?

Apparantly it was one of the screws I used, slightly too big and ran over the allowed "radius" as it were so shorted the mobo! Such a stupid thing!! Taken me 5hours to figure it out lol :(
