Custom Paper Size Issue / Printer Working But Not Recognised By It's Own Software?!

I wonder if anyone can give me some clues! I have a fairly old printer (Epson Stylus DX3800) and a fairly new custom built PC running Windows 10. The printer (which used to be able to print 5x7" photos quite happily with my old computer) now no longer has that paper size, nor any apparent place where I can add that size option. I thought installing the printer driver / software from the disc might help provide more options, but despite trying it in every single USB port, the installation CD fails to recognise that the printer is attached (even when I manually point it to the right port), and so won't install the driver. I tried downloading the driver online, but it said that it "cannot be installed on my system"- I wonder if the driver is too old to work with Win10 or something(?). Oh incidentally, the printer does print just fine- it's just a lack of paper size options I'm having an issue with. Any idea how I might get it to print custom sizes again? Thankyou! ^_^

Nevermind- I think the online version of the driver that I downloaded earlier must have been corrupted- I tried it again and got entirely different results from doing exactly the same thing. =/ Anyway, installing the driver seems to have provided the ability to set custom paper sizes, so yay! Problem solved. ^_^
