I just built a computer on cyberpowerpc and then read a bunch of bad reviews regarding their customer service and defective products. Should I be worrying about this? 😱 I know, like all other companys there will be a few odd experiences, but are they reliable most of the time?

Cyperpower has been around awhile and iv seen several Toms users buy from them. There trust link review is fairly high. If you can build your own pc you should its a much much better deal but if you don't feel comfortable doing so cyperpower is a fairly good choice all the company's are fairly similar some times they just specialize I.E gaming rigs , work stations , super rig *$10k+ systems.

I bought a cyberpowerpc back around feb 2006. It had a motherboard/psu failure within warranty, and while they didn't have the best customer service (I think they hung up on me on accident) I didn't have a problem getting the PC fixed.

The only thing to consider is they don't always use the best parts. For example, my PC came with an aspire PSU (now apevia) rather than a more reliable brand. I think you have the option to change that, but it can get really expensive with upgrades.

As already mentioned, it is cheaper (and you get better parts) if you put it together yourself.

I changed my PSU, so there is an option for it :) my plan is to learn how to build one while I upgrade this one in the upcoming years, I've always had gaming laptops.. so I was never able to do anything other than replace RAM.. which is pretty insignificant

bought a cyberpower bout 5 yrs ago.. had to send it back to them for repairs 3 times in the 1st 4 months. it took 1 month to get it back each time. 1 week to get there, 1 week to gt back, and 2 weeks in thier possession. they'd send it back and it still wouldnt work, like they never even looked at it.
i had problems with that computer its entire lifespan. instead of going a month without a computer each time it broke down i started going to local computer shops to get it fixed. thats how disappointing cyberpower is. i'd rather pay someone to fix it then send it to them for warrenty work. it cost me less too. considering you have to pay for shipping to them and they'd still send it back not fixed.
i honestly dont know how they stay in business. when i was looking for a new computer recently i was shocked that they were still around. i had one built from ibuypower this time around and so far all has been good. that fact that it started up alone made it better then cyberpower. .
