On October 5, the studio declared that the game had "gone gold," meaning its ready to go and ship with complete content.

Seems someone bending the truth

The statement also says that even though the game has gone gold, the time is necessary to make improvements that will be issued in a Day 0 patch.

More of the release now and patch later, there should not be any need for a Day 0 patch. Any game should not be released that needs fixing on the first day.

All this time in crunch mode, with six-day work weeks, this is rather bad for the staff, I hope they are getting fully played for this!!

I am saddened by this but I understand wanting to polish the game as much as they can. That said, darn you CD Projekt Red, 2020 has been lacking in things to look forward to, stop moving the goal post.
