ello !

I cannot access the router (DI-524) setup menu in any way.

The router works fine - the desktop computer connected via cable and the wireless internet have no problems. However, I can't access it in order to set a password or modify any settings.

I already tried various solutions I found online, none of which solved the problem : resetting the router, ipconfig/renew, disable firewalls ...

If I ping 192.168.0.1 it works, but when I put it into a browser I get :

"This page can’t be displayed

•Make sure the web address http://192.168.0.1 is correct.
•Look for the page with your search engine.
•Refresh the page in a few minutes."

What additional information do I need to provide you in order to come up with a solution ?

Thanks !

Solution
Only connect your pc to the router with a cable NOTHING else (that includes no WIFI).
Make sure that you tried different ports on the router! One is for the WAN and 4 are lan ports. There is one apart this is the wan port DON'T use this one, instead use one of the lan ports.

Now start a new browsertab and try it again with http://192.168.0.1 (try it with different browers).
Also try it with https://192.168.0.1 (sometims this helps).

Some routers (not sure this one too) have DHCP disabled by default.
So it can be that you don't have a ip adress.
So go in the network settings of your pc and set a ip addresses of 192.168.0.10 and default gateway of 192.168.0.1 and DNS of 8.8.8.8
Try to connect ones more.

hope this helps!
