Question D-link dsl 2877al USB Port not working

HI I need help with my d-link dsl 2877al.........it has a usb port that is locked in the firmware for my country. Is there a way to customize the firmware or is there a firmware out there that could enable the port? BTW i want to use the port for SMB(file sharing) from an external hard-drive.

That is an old and slow router (USB 2.0). It will be much easier to get a DSL modem and a newer router than trying to "fix" this one.

you don't need to customize the usb port.
usually dlink devices like that , work with every firmware designed for any corner of the planet.
