Hi:
I have a D845PEBT2 Intel motherboard. I am curious if I can install Celeron D processor on it.
According to the spec sheet, it only supports old Celerons with 400MHZ Bus Frequency and 128KB cache. But, it supports Pentium 4 processors with 533MHZ bus speed and 512KB cache. Old Celerons are made of 0.13 and 0.18 micron technology. Celeron D is made of 90nm technology.

I called Intel, but they said they do not know more than the spec sheet which is old.
I am guessing the big difference between old Celerons and Celeron D is production technology
in terms of compatibility. I think Celeron D won't work on this board, but I am not sure.
Thanks.
