Hey so a couple days ago my AIO died and i decided to for once rely on air coolers to cool my 9700k since either way my AIO that had died didnt cut it for this cpu , Regardless ive heard air coolers are definitely a competition these days and for the fraction of the price.
f course i went ahead and researched cooler - case compatibility And it was all good my ram sticks have a low profile heatsink anyway
Heres the problem im a man that loves aesthetics (ironic cuz i have a single ram stick instead of a 2x8 that i bought by a mistake) theyre essential for my build hence why i chose bequiet over the nh ds 15 , but the cooler covers my first dimm slot to the point where its not showing.
I have a single 16 GB RAM Stick , my question is can i install it in a different ram slot without sacrificing performance like say the third slot (my motherboard uses the first and the third as default) , or even better can i reconfigure my motherboards “preferred” DIMM slots in the Bios?
