data connect under linux

Has anbody tried to get cingular data connect to run under linux through
a nokia 6200 phone?

If so, how did you do it?

I got my 6210 working as a modem on a Slackware 9.1. Not sure what you
mean by singular though? I used kppp to set it up and a cable to connect
to the serial... no ir!

Ed,

The 6200 has the capability of connecting directly to the internet as
NIC using GPRS (General Packet Radio Service). You dont use a modem at
all but use the special layer to transfer IP packets.
