Data recovery from partiton failed external hard disk..

Hello,
i am using westorn digitol 320gb sata harddisk as external hard disk but it was not showing in my computor window but it was showing in device manager under hard disk option how we find data of this hard disk? pls help

It might just need a drive letter assigning to it. Go into Disk Management:

Control Panel > Admin Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management

Look for the bar in the bottom-right panel which relates to your external hard drive.
It will say "Raw" and it will have no drive letter.

Right-click on it and choose "Change Drive Letter & Paths".
Click "Add".
Choose a letter.
Click 'OK'.
