Question 'Date' tab in File Explorer (not date created/modified/accessed): what for, and how to search on?

File Explorer has an optional ("More...") "Date" tab. Not Date created, modified, or accessed. Just "Date".
I'm trying to find out what sets this parameter, and whether it is possible to search on it.
