Hi im sorry if this has been asked before, but i tried looking and couldnt find a real explanation, im building a new pc ( http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/249707-31-first-build-ever-help help appreciated if you have the time give it a look :) )

and i have a quick, short, memory question:

G.SKILL 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1000 (PC2 8000) $99.99

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231145

G.SKILL 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) $144.99

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231145

is there a real performance diference between this 2? Any other difference outside the speed? Wouldnt both actually work at 1066? (that's what I think I read somewhere, could be mistaken), is the difference worth the extra ~45% price?

nope not worth it, u could easily reach 1066 mhz with the 1000 mhz ram, assuming your mobo can handle it. Now can anybody help me with my issue, plz? its the asus rev./ biod rev. number topic.

so save yourself $45 and get the cheaper one.
