i'm using mobo GA-965P and i currently using mushkin DDR2 PC667. If i buy another pair of cosair PC 800, can i use together? means that i will be using 4 slot of ram. will the system run unstable? since the ddr2 price is cheap now...so i decided to get another pair... or it's advise to buy another PC 667?
thanks.

Buy another 667. 800 will run, but it'll have to "slow down" to the 667, so you'll be wasting your money. Faster RAM always will default down to the match the slowest in the slots. So get the 667 for sure.

True. If you can get the 667 OC'd close to 800, then you'll be fine. I was assuming no overclock, but that is quite right.

So if you feel you can OC the 677 and make it run fairly high, then go with 800. If not, stick with 667 and call it a day ;)

You can do that but ideally the timings would be the same.....otherwise you'd have to slow down the faster timings to match the slower.....which would be a waste of money.

If possible, match brands/models. If not, then match timings.
