Hi everyone ,

Recently I wanted to upgrade my asus a6r notebook (i think its 2006) I bought samsung ddr2 2gb 800mhz ram. When I put it inside of my computer my pc would not boot not even bios even the sreen did not started. I tryed both slots nothing , then I added old 512mb ram into the ram slot and pc booted. CPU-Z is now displaying 2,512 mb of memory. Do I have full acess to this capacity? Or I'm just running on 512mb's? Also the freqencies are different samsung is 800mhz and old one is 667mhz. I dont understand why. Does anyone have a reasonable solution? Thanks a lot =) MB supports up to 3gb of ram

And rams wich are currently stick in my laptop are original 512 mb 667mhz and 2gb 800mhz and pc works and cpuz is displaying 2gb ram. Does that mean it works without any problem and I have acess to full capacity?
