Ddr3 ram to ddr3l skylake board?

i just bought my pc, i noticed that the board say "ddr3l 1600" when we asked the shop owner, he said i should buy ddr3 1600, when i asked if they have ddr3l, he said "ddr3l is for laptops only" and he said ddr3 is fine. So I went home, assembled it, went to BIOS, the volatge is now at 1.36... but when i go to CPU-Z, it saying 1.5v!!! Is CPU z listing my current voltage???!!!Btw i havent encountered any issues as of yet

use cpu-z info on the ram sticks and google the info of the ram. the ram sould be low voltaged ddr3 ram if it 1.5v ram it work but it burn out the memory controllers sooner then 1.25v ram would. as the pc is a new build why did the shop build a pc with older ram that cost more then newer 2100 ddr4 ram???

This guy has NO IDEA what he is talking about! There is DESKTOP DDR3L!!!

DDR3L is USUALLY backward compatible and will work with normal 1.5v DDR3

DDR3 WILL NOT WORK IN A DDR3L ONLY BOARD!

Look up the motherboard. Most that ONLY take DDR3L will say so on the motherboard and most of the time I only see OEM (Dell/HP/ETC) Runn DDR3L Desktop or a few Retail boards. Most that take the 6/7th Gen Intel take DDR4 where as Gen 1-4 Take DDR3.

For Laptops usually Gen 4+ take DDR3L/DDR4

Can we get the motherboard and RAM make off of CPUz for us so we can make sure the proper parts are in the system?

You have a skylake motherboard? Buy 4 4gb sticks of ddr4 3000 and be done with this foolishness.

My mobo is ECS H110M C3D. Im pretty sure its ddr3l too, but my ddr3 seems to be working fine rn... and i think the bios auotmatically undervolted my ram from 1.5 -> 1.36... ill take a picture of it...

Im from the philippines, I have 2x4gb generic ddr3 1333 1.5v right now, when i go to bios, the ram is running at 1.36v but when i go to CPU-Z it says 1.5v again...

I also have 2x4gb ddr3l sodimm on my laptop than i barely use. Maybe i coud just buy a DDR3L Laptop to Desktop Memory RAM Adapter and put that memory on my pc?
