Question WD MyCloud Home alternatives ?

I was looking at one of the WD MyCloud Home drives but looked at the reviews on Amazon and 19% were 1 star which totally put me off, especially as quite a few mentioned drive failure.

Can anybody recommend an alternative that ideally doesn't cost a load more, it's for backing up photos but also for storing music / videos, I ideally want something that photo's can be viewed remotely with an App on a phone / tablet.
