1 - Hi, i am seeing DDR4 Gskill Trident Z for a X99 system that i will buy.
On description of the ram say that is optimized/compatible with Z170 motherboards. This means that i should see other DDR4 that is optimized/compatible with X99?

2 - In terms of speed/future what do you think its the better RAM:
- G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 3600 CL16
- G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 3200 CL 14

Now that i choose the DDR4 3200 CL14 i see that this ram is not quad channel... Its dual channel. Now i have to look another ram that is quad channel...
If i bought 2 packs of 2x8gb ddr4 3200, that dont work in quad channel?

I bought a quad channel 32GB kit for my X99 Build. There is a version that is "x99" compatible for DDR3200. It works, but I can't get XMP to run without crashing. =( I figured I'd go quad sooner or later so I sprung to get all 4 sticks to avoid purchasing a dual now that is not build the same and duals later.

If it's crashing that you might want to make sure your system is stable as it will apply auto overclock when XMP is enabled. Update your bios to the newest possible. Second make sure the sticks aren't bad, run Memtest86 to make sure the sticks are good.

As far as "compatible" goes, basically its 4 sticks and DDR4 under 1.35v. The rest is marketing.

Lower is better

On paper lower is better for latency but only combined with higher speeds. 2400 CAS 14 isn't faster than 3200 CAS 14. 4100 CAS 19 isn't faster than 3200 CAS 14 latency wise, it is however for data bandwidth.
