Hi everyone,

my gtx 980 ti recently died, and i decided to take it apart if i could see any damaged components. I found an inductor that was burned out (r33) and also a mosfet next to it (im pretty sure its to power the vram). i managed to replace those chips so i decided to power it on to see if it would work now but no video sadly. what i noticed is that the vram chips gets hot immediately when it gets powered. (not all of them but 8 from the 12 chips do.you cant even touch it because its so hot. im thinking that some vram chips are faulty and that they will need to be replaced but im not 100% sure. i hope that someone could help me.

Kind Regards.
