I'm a little confused about Dead Space 2 because
a) It's not out yet, and won't be out for almost a year
b) The PC version isn't comfirmed.

I mean, it's a preorder I guess, but it seems a little weird to preorder something that hasn't been confirmed a year in advance.

It's not too confusing. EA gets to determine any market desire for a PC version by letting companies take pre-orders on a game that might not even exist yet. If enough people pre-order, they'll do a port (sadly, not a PC-optimized version). If barely anyone pre-orders, than the retailers will simply offer a refund.

It's kind of how Microsoft got started. Tell people you have a product (in MS's case, a non-existent compiler), then see if anyone tries to buy it. If they do, hurry your ass up and make it, if not, oh well, it didn't cost you anything.

That's a low res screen and crappy dual core, and it's used. On the other hand, a quad core with a 1920x1080 screen is a lot more interesting.
