It would be nice if companies like Dell listed all of the components of their computers.
What motherboard is used, or what about the power supply?
Both are extremely important parts of any computer and companies neglect those details.
Why? Because they use low-grade, budget pieces?

If you look at the tech specs of the systems at dell.com, you can find out the chipset, power supply used and other details.

For example:

XPS 8500 uses H77 chipset, 460W Power Supply

^ we were hoping for specific motherboard and psu model name and numbers. A diablotek 600w doesn't perform anywhere near a corsair 600w.

Dude, Dell has their motherboards custom made by one of the big manufacturers. They are not standard models, like the ones you can buy. Expect them to have the bare minimum needed, like the PSUs they use.
