Ok I think I have narrowed it down.... I am looking at either of these two, Which one do you guys prefer?
Gigabyte MOBO GA7IXE
AMD Thunderbird 750
or
ECS MOBO K7VZA
AMD Duron 700

The reason I picked these 2 is that I would like to keep it under $200.00
Any other ideas?

first of all, the ga-z1xe is a slot-a motherboard, you want a socket-a motherboard for the thunderbird/duron cpu (my hunch is that you were looking at this motherboard at egghead.com, i noticed they made a mistake). anyway, for a low cost motherboard i would suggest the epox ep-8kta+ (the + version allows for overclocking) and it has integrated audio. on top of that, i would probably get a duron 600 or 700 and spend the extra money on a good heatsink/fan that will last for future upgrades (and overclocking if you are into that). when your budget allows, you can always drop in a 1.2gig thunderbird. that's just my $.02
