Hi

So while i'm waiting for my motherboard to arrive, i decided to assemble as much of my new PC as i could (firsttime builder). I have prepared the case, installed the power supply, connected the SATA connector from the fan controller to a SATA power cable from my power supply, and the fan connectors into those "sockets" (idk) that also come out of the fan controller. I tried turning on the power and nothing happens. What am i missing?

And bonus question: i'm planning in running SLI GTX970s when the prices drop. Should i go for an extra 140mm fan? If so, where should i put it?

Any answers are appreciated.

OK Mr first time builder, can I suggest you don't turn anything on until it is all built? Equally installing stuff in your case before the motherboard may not be such a good idea as it may make it difficult to get the motherboard in....

Be patient, wait till you have everything, then build, and don't turn it on before it is fully assembled

Bonus Question:

It may help to remove the middle hard drive cage so that the fan has a straight shot toward the GPU's. The best way to air cool the GPU's is with a side fan, providing your case doesn't have a window. This will increase the noise, however.

As i'm only (currently) using 1 SSD, i have already removed all the HDD cages. Not gonna remove the side panel though, as i'm optimizing the system for silence. It's either bottom fan or an additional front fan.

I would guess the front position, since the bottom position is too far forward to blow on the GPU's. The lower front position is mostly below the level of the GPU's, however, it will augment the other front fan, and hopefully that fresh air being pushed below the GPU's will be pulled around them by the top rear fan.
