Defrag

I am using WinXP Home Edition. I have run defragmenter on my C: drive 3
times (after doing disk cleanup). My Defrag Report shows 48% file
defragmentation. If 48% is considered bad, is there another Defragmenter I
can download that will do a better job?

I use VoPT XP - $40 - and am very happy with it. Beware of the trial version
tho' - I let it expire before I purchased it and it wouldn't let my startups
run. The folks there will provide a fix for if requested.

Windows cannot defragment, system or hidden files, or the swap file (virtual
memory).

I use Diskkeeper. It's the full version of the defragmenter that comes with
XP. It can defragment all the files listed above, and can be set to do so
automatically. I haven't seen more than 1% fragmentation on any of my drives
in over 2 years.
