Hi,
There is allocated space in hard disc for deleted files, which is recoverable, and gets totally erased with another new volume of deleted files. Correct if wrong please.

Q1. What happens if a folder with files were replaced with another folder with same name? Will there be any record of the replaced files in the recovery volume?

Q2. What happens if a file was cut-past into another hard disc? Will it be recoverable from the first hard disc?

In which way you can delete/erase a file that will not end up in the allocated recovery space?

Solution
1. The original file may still be recoverable. In fact, the recovery process might even overwrite the 'new' FolderName and contents.

2. Probably, yes.

To make stuff completely 'not recoverable':
Delete the offending files from Drive A
Copy the rest of the 'files' on that drive to Drive B.
Wipe Drive A completely. DBAN or similar.
Copy from Drive B, back to Drive A
Wipe Drive B completely.

Ask your friendly NSA person to get them back for you once you've discovered that you did this in the wrong order, or your girlfriend can still find your stash of ****.

To make it really not recoverable.
1. Dig a 2x2x2 pit
2. Run the drive through a drive shredder
3. Dump the drive confetti into the pit
4. Fill with cement
5. Wait 6...
