Hello,
i am getting the blue screen message with the tech info of
STOP: 0x0000007E (0x0000005,0xF725EC30,0F79AO528,0xF79AO224)
wudfpf.sys address F725EC30 BASE AT F724D000, datestamp 451c7d1f

Can I just buy a new hard drive and it will be all better ????

Is your operating system Windows XP?

XP does not use that file (wudfpf.sys).

A new hard drive wil not help you.

Coming back with the information of: What operating system you are using, will help.

i dont know if this will help but when i test it has an error on the dst short test !!! Its say it fails

error caode 1000-0146 !

when i load up my laptop it gets to the windows xp screen the little bar try to move back and forth and the blue screen come up !

i hope this helps thanks for the reply

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume you have a Seagate hard drive..

Your idea of getting a new hard drive is not far fetched.

I offer the following resource for you to look at in determining if your drive is bad or not by the outcome of the DST.
