I just bought a dell brand all-in-one 922 printer.
Does anyone know about refilling the cartriges?

What I heard (mind you, I don't own one) is that the printer software
notifies you when the ink is low, including a link back to Dell so that you
can order carts. in plenty of time.

There are also third party companies selling Dell cartridges, but the
cartridges are proprietary.

the dell 922 is a brother of the lexmark x5250. the dell printers are made
by lexmark but carry the dell label. though the cartridges are nearly
identical to the lexmark there is a difference in the shape of the top of
the cartridges that prevents the use of lexmark cartridges in dell branded
printers. however, the lexmark refill kits work fine with the dell
cartridges. so, if you use a refill kit meant for the lexmark x5250 you
are in business.
