Dell Dimension Xps series question.

I booted up my Xps D333 and noticed for the first time that it says its an xps d300 while it posts. The case however clearly says xps d333. I did some googleing and found out the d300 and d333 are basicaly the same thing.(I couldn't find a direct comparison though). I was wondering if this is correct or that someone maybe swapped a mobo/case at one time. I know the pc is ancient and theres probaly no real way to figure this out unless someone happens to have the exact same pc.

Basically the D300 series are using the same motherboard all so they all have the same post message which is xps d300. They just haven't bothered making a different boot message for every different model.
