I own a Dell Inspiron 531 which has a factory AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ 2.01 Ghz with 2 GB of memory RAM. (Updated to 2 from 1)
Its a 32 Bit Windows 7 Ultimate.
I also have a NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430.
I want to upgrade my graphic card so I can play League of Legends with high FPS and graphics.
I'm not sure how much Wattage my PSU is.
Thanks in advance. I have a budget of ~$150.
Thanks!

Should I do a clean install of windows?
I've messed up my pc so damn hard.
Let me tell you what wrong.
I can't delete the nvidida so i followed some guide and went into registry and deleted it all.
Then I made sure there was no more nvidida on my pc (It is still there on control panel)
I installed AMD from the CD - Got error.
PC is still the same.
I don't think I got the driver.

I reallly need help.
Thanks!
All because of one mistake at the start. 🙁

Still on phone. Stay calm. Make another System Restore (you can repeat this process as much as necessary, this time step a bit further back, make sure you are restoring to time before you got new card). Next uninstall all NVIDIA using regular Windows program uninstall from Control Panel, if reboot requires, so reboot, after you see only Generic VGA in Device manager, then go to Safe mode to use Sweeper at least 2 times, do not go to REGISTRY or you would have to reinstall Operating System. At the end, if or when, it is sounds better, your problem with freezing would be fixed, then you can do clean install. Tomorrow you going to work with BIOS, prior to this take care of your video card. One step at the time!

Half of the time here I am trying to understand you, another half is actually helping you. What is "nothing comes up"? Next you are talking about clean install, install of what? When you got framework problem, you were installing what?
Can you be clear in your statements?!

I completely reinstalled windows. Now when the pc starts I get the mom.exe net framework error message. This also happens when I try starting catalyst. The middle of my screen is also fuzzy. How do I make it not fuzzy. How and where do I download net frame work v4.0

How it was before? Did they worked? What exact model card you purchased? You installed latest Catalyst?

Before it was pretty good.
Sometimes it wasn't that well.
Maybe because it is because I am downloading LoL. ^.^
I purchased Sapphire HD 7750 (The one you told me)
I have the CD that they sent with us. I used your link and not the CD.

This time you will follow my recommendations! Or you will deal with your problems without me!

I need to know which monitor you use, if it is Dell, then which model (there are drivers for each Dell monitor)?

Next you will have to flash (upgrade) your BIOS - you have first version and there are many more were made after yours, so instructions are follows
Inspiron 531/531s System BIOS 1.0.13
Release Date: 2/19/2009
Importance: Recommended

Installation Instructions

The file I531_1013.EXE is using the Hard Drive format and is designed to be directly executed from Windows environments.

1.

Click Download now.
The File Download window appears.
2.

Click the Save button.
The Save As window appears.
3.

Select Desktop using the drop-down menu to the right of Save in.
4.

Click the Save button.
A progress meter moves as the download is completed.
5.

If necessary, click X in the upper right-hand corner of the Download Progress Window to close it upon completion.
NOTE: Shut down all other applications prior to running the BIOS update utility. The update utility reboots your system in order to get the new BIOS loaded.

7.

Double click the Icon on your desktop labeled I531_1013.EXE.
The Dell Bios Flash window appears
8.

Click the Continue button.
The message Pressing OK will close all applications, shut down Windows, Flash the BIOS, then reboot. appears.
9.

Click the OK button.
The system will restart and the Bios Flash will be completed.

After this done, you would have to reinstall your Windows one more time, since you jumped ahead and missed a few important drivers, which must be installed first, prior to installation of everything else. I will supply the links, when you are ready. Please record all steps you have taken after last installation, so it would be easy for you to repeat them.

When you update your BIOS let me know, and don't forget about Monitor manufacturer, if it is non Dell, it doesn't matter, if Dell it is matters a lot!

If you respond late and I would not be able to answer today, you will get your next steps tomorrow at about the same time as of now.

Reinstalling windows - when you reinstalled, you did not updated/loaded AMD driver, which need to be done right after Windows reinstallation to prevent corruption, at this point everything has to be scutinized to figure out you main problem, we have to eliminate all possible reasons for your PC freezing. There are also a few more drivers need to be installed.
I thought that you made a disc with Win7?!

You need to upgrade BIOS to the atest one, since you have the first version, it was a few "urgent" BIOS upgrade notifications you missed, so now you caqn get the most recent BIOS.

After all of this, or may before, it doesn't really matters, we proceed to clearing BIOS memory and reseatting PC memory, if all thiose actions would not fix your problem, then this would be definately motherboard, there is also a slight possibility of power supply failure, this one basically impossible to check untill it fail completely.

If you jump ahead again and miss certain steps how would we know where is the problem?

Another thing, I just noticed. How did you get Win7? Describe your steps, because we are hunting for something here, and from your description it is looks like you do some kind of upgrading. What you need to do is clean install! In this case you would not carry over your problems. I am not stating that clean install will fix your problems, but is is much better than upgrading.
So, how did you get to Win7, please explain step by step.

In order to do clean install you need to get WIn7 in .iso form, burn it to DVD and use it as if is genuine Win7 installation disc. In this case you have to make backup of all your documents and you files as they would be deleted during clean install, this is the reason it called clean install.

Still you would have to install some specific drivers prior to installing all your software...

First of all, tell me how you get to Win7? Second, which monitor you have, if it is Dell, please provide model number. Third, you must upgrade BIOS - we have to perform all possible fixes, otherwise we can continue this conversation for ages.
