Question Dell M4800 can't read ExpressCard and SD card :(

I've tried removing & reinstalling the SD card drivers but it didn't help.
I can see that express card slot powers on my express card but it can't read any storage inside express card.
How can I fix this? I'm on Windows 10 64bit. I've tried two different expresscards... they both didn't work.

Please help!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

For the sake of relevance, can you please state the BIOS version for your Dell M4800 laptop? What version(not edition) of Windows 10 are you on? Try uninstalling your card readers drivers one more time but when time comes to reinstall said driver, do so in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

You might want to rule out that the memory cards aren't compromised by using them on a donor system with a card reader that can read said memory cards. If the memory card works on the donor system, then it's highly probable that the card reader on your laptop has partially said goodbye.

Should I buy a new express card slot for M4800?

but I'm curious why both of my SD card slot and Express Card slot are broken. I haven't used them for years.
