Has anyone tested/used a Dell S2230MX LED monitor? I am wondering if this will work well for gaming. It says the response time is 2ms from gray to gray, but I believe it is 5ms from black to white. This is also a 60Hz monitor. Do I really need a 120Hz monitor or will a 60Hz suffice. I also assume that using a DVI/HDMI adapter at the monitor will not lose any quality. Since this will be hooked up to my GTX 560Ti card via HDMI and used for gaming, I won't need the audio portion of the HDMI.

Thanks

A 5ms response time is fine for gaming. Yes, 60Hz would suffice. And you are correct, using a DVI/HDMI adapter will not cause any loss in quality. It will still transmit the digital video signal.

In the $150-$200 price range there are many similar options. All hovering around the basic specs of 22 inches, +/-5ms responce time, 60hz. So your model seems like a decent choice. Just google for some reviews before you make any final decisions.

Good luck.
