Hi everyone,

I need some advice on upgrading the RAM in my Dell OptiPlex 3070 Micro. My current setup includes an Intel Core i5-9500T processor and 8GB of DDR4 2666MHz RAM. Recently, I've noticed that my RAM usage often exceeds 7GB, causing my system to become sluggish and laggy.

I’m planning to upgrade the RAM and have a few questions:

  1. Can I use a laptop DDR4 8GB 3200MHz RAM in my OptiPlex 3070 Micro? Will it be compatible and run properly?
  2. Are all laptop DDR4 RAM modules compatible with my micro PC, or are there specific requirements I need to be aware of?
  3. I’ve attached a picture of my current RAM module and an Amazon UK link to the RAM I’m considering. Could you please take a look and advise if it’s a good choice or suggest a better option?
Here's the picture of my current RAM: View: https://in.pinterest.com/pin/618259855129377148/

And the Amazon UK link to the RAM I'm considering: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Integral-3...c3-8621-f95a670705bc&pd_rd_i=B08MYCNLJ6&psc=1

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Crucial-CT...7283&ref_=pd_hp_d_atf_ci_mcx_mr_hp_atf_m&th=1

Thank you for your valuable information and assistance!

Wishing you all success.

You can try adding a single stick of ram to the existing ram the 2 sticks may not play nice together.

Make sure of the return policy.

Best to go with a 2 stick kit of ram......your call.
