I am attempting to replace the motherboard in my Dell Precision M4800. I currently have everything apart and have just taken the motherboard out of the computer. I now want to make 100% sure that I order the exact same board to replace it.

What identification numbers do I need to make sure that I match with the replacement board so that I know I am getting the exact same board that came out of my computer? I have found Intel motherboards online that match a couple of numbers on the board, VAQ10 LA-9117P and CN-0W7R2C. Are either of these the part number or model number? I would like to know which one of these numbers, and any others, I need to make sure I match to get the same exact motherboard.

I am in a little over my head on this project and would really appreciate any assistance I can get. Thank you in advance for your help.

When I repair something for the first time, like replacing all of my gate control boards and parts, I take lots of pictures with my phone.

I suggest that you do the same to have all of the information and all of the connections well documented.

Then you will have a beginning reference point. It will be easier to deal with small issues that might remain.
