Dell u2711 replace or repair?

So my ex busted the screen on my u2711. all else on it works fine, but the question i have is should i buy a screen and disassemble it or buy a whole new monitor?

depends on the cost of a new replacement screen compared to a new monitor tho that monitor was about $1100 in2010.

Yeah I payed $850 I was less than happy when I found out what happened.

I presume you did not buy accident insurance for that monitor?

i bought 2 years of insurance on it in 2011 LOL

open up the monitor to see who made the lcd panel as maybe made by lg.

Ok confirmed the monitor seems to be a LG I have a pic but I havnt figured out how to include it yet lol
