Hello everyone,

I want to thank everyone in advance for helping me. I seem to have lost base with technology while I was at university. I purchased a desktop a few years back (specs below) and am looking to make some upgrades to it to be able to game a little bit harder.

The computer:

Dell XPS 430
Intel Core 2 Duo - E8500 - 3.16/3.17ghz
4gb RAM
ATI Radeon HD 3600
32 bit Win7
425w PSU

I am looking to upgrade RAM and video card. I would like to avoid having to replace the PSU, as I suspect the Dell case and branding are limiting that option.

Will these cards and RAM work with my current computer? Do you guys have any other suggestions?

VID CARD - ATI Radeon 6850

and for ram this:

Thanks a lot,

Kyle

Your going to have to replace the psu even if thats a option in xps computers..Also if you wanna use 8Gb of ram u would need to goto windows 7 64 bit as well..My opinion i would sell the pc and start from scratch dells are so limited and if you wanna get into heavier gaming later on down the road or upgrading a new pc would be in the future thats custom built and not prebuilt..
