I formatted my device, but after doing the format, I could not know the serial number of my device. I searched in the CMD and wrote (wmic bios get serialnumber) to find out the serial number, so the system told me (Default string) I did a lot of commands and got the same result and I went to the motherboard bios to look for the serial number, but I couldn't find it.

because I want to add my device to my Microsoft account. and they didn't help me. by the way, my PC is DIY

Thanking you in anticipation.

Regards,

Fahad

And that only works for specific MS devices.
Surface, Xbox, etc.

Again and for the last time...
That "Register" is only for devices sold from Microsoft.
Surface laptop, Xbox, etc.

It has nothing to do with your PC.

It's weird. Guys. Do you read what I write or not? I told you more than once that my device was registered in a Microsoft account and had a serial number before it was formatted, so if you do not have any information in this field, say I do not know. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

And we're telling you that entering a serial number is only for Microsoft hardware. I don't know how else we can make it more clear to you. Your computer is DIY built, therefore It's not Microsoft hardware

If you want to re-register your computer to your Microsoft account: Log into your Microsoft Account and activate Windows from there

I did that, but it's not working for me. just I will wait for Gigabyte to respond.

Thanks all guys

I don't think you have enough background on this subject.

In this thread, you've already talked to people who have collectively built hundreds of PCs and resolved issues for tens of thousands of problems for users. And one bewildered Gigabyte service representative who didn't give the answer you think they did. Perhaps the problem is what you think rather than with every single person you've interact with about this problem.
