[citation][nom]stm1185[/nom]Oh it was spam clicking, but that over a decade ago, pre WoW, pre Skyrim. At the time it was acceptable because it was really one of the few ways you could do an rpg, and it was preferable to turn based combat. But now in an era of fast paced 3rd person free camera rpgs it really is archaic and no longer holds the appeal it once did.To me it's as bad as if GTA stayed top down or Fall Out did instead of going full 3D, and I love the 3 game of both those series, but with Diablo 3 Blizzard went the safer approach of just delivering a sequel somewhat like the last game, but for me it doesn't work because that type of sequel should have come out in 2003 and its not 2003, its 2012. The franchise needed an update to bring it into the modern age and they left it back pre WoW. Blizzard already created a better control and camera system and engine setup for RPGs, they just used it in an MMO. They could have had a Diablo with modern Skyrim quality graphics with a free form camera 3rd person perspective like they did WoW, but instead you get spam click isometric like its 2003.Which is just sad. Like removing the world pvp, like delaying the arena pvp, like selling out with the credit card AH.[/citation]
It sounds to me like you don't like the Diablo style game, but there are a lot of people who still like it. Look at Torchlight, it was quite popular, only because there are a lot of people who want a diablo style game. I welcome a sequal, we have Skyrim for open world types of games. We have WoW for MMO games. Diablo is the isometric hack and slash. They all have a place, and there are people who still want this type of game.
Just yesterday, before I even knew Diablo 3 was coming, I installed Titan Quest again. I was interested in a simple straight forward game I didn't have to think much to play. Diablo 3 would have worked too.
