[citation][nom]aidynphoenix[/nom]$60 is just fair in my book. honestly i think all the other company's are milking their game prices. even if they are selling them for $40 or $50. think about all the games that were released that you beat in 8 hours of full play time, crysis anybody? rocksmith "seriously?" 79.99Gods and Heroes 79.99Reckoning: Kingdoms of Amalur 59.99all wallmart prices... these games cant be up to the same quality and standards as blizzards games.. NO WAY!when you play the blizzard games, you are playing a finely crafted beautiful piece of art worthy of being stored in a time capsule.the music and voice acting is top. it is very clear to see that blizzard puts far more effort and time "obviously" on their games than other company's. the expense of making these masterpiece games has to reflect upon their sell price.. considering all the effort and time they put into these games.. we are practially stealing when we buy it for $60.turn up the bass, put on your finest headphones and listen to this, and try and tell me this is not a epic piece of work. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVHzbs1dgnI[/citation]

That would have been true day before WoW came out but ever since Blizzard got sucked into lame WoW world and merged with Activison. They have been doing but a massive landslide down a mountain. Starcraft 2 is a mediocre sequel to amazing Starcraft 1. Diablo 3 will be a mediocre sequel as well by looks of it currently. 60 bucks? yeah ok it should be 40 at most.

Considering how much man power and time Blizzard puts into these games, you can't blame any shortcomings on effort. No one spends more money on building a game than Blizzard. They do, however, have a tendency to try to please everyone, which means some hardcore gamers aren't as pleased (I'm assuming this is you).

I used to be a diehard fan of Blizzard till they pissed me off w/ starcraft 2. If they put so much resources in their games then how come they still suck and are very easy? Something is up.

i have to agree with you, i did not have a epic experience with starcraft2.. the audio is what really brought the game down for me.. it lacked a good soundtrack, and the voice acting was pretty basic.. less than disney quality voice acting.

Like I said, they do try to please everyone. To please the every day Joe, they need to make things pretty easy. Being easy does not mean they didn't put effort into it.

One of the reasons they make games fairly easy these days (and this goes for most companies) is because people get offended when they can't beat a game at normal difficulty. Starcraft 2 still has challenge at hard difficulty if you attempt to beat all their challenges.

Well making games extremely kills my interest. I have no interest in easy ass games or streamlined games. Thanks to those retarded publishers because I get to save my $ past 10 years. I been saving my $ for some amazing game but sadly no amazing game has come out yet.

I blame our youth, or maybe the parents of our youth and young adults. We've taught our kids to be entitled and not to expect to work hard to succeed.

That said, if you were a hardcore Starcraft 1 player, you probably expected the sequel to cater to your ability level. It might just be that your skill level is very high due to the amount of time spent on Starcraft 1.
