[citation][nom]hotchrisbfries[/nom]Continues to rant on the internet. Oh the irony.[/citation]

I was not aware that a SMALL comment qualified as a "rant". In any case, it has nothing to do with internet usage, it has everything to do with usage of a purchased game without further need of the company to do so.

[citation][nom]officeguy[/nom]Arrrrrr, you are such a pirate. Not a big deal to me. Hopefully it will keep most of the cheater/hackers away from this game. I am pretty sure that you will be able to find your finds and fight together and still be in the same room.[/citation]

1. For the record, I have purchased over 50 copies (total) of Starcraft, Diablo, Diablo 2, D2 LOD, and Warcraft 3, for myself and family members (and a few friends) for game play and replacement of lost or damaged CDs. NOT ONCE did I ever pirate a copy of those games. I do however have no problem at all with pirating Starcraft 2 for example.

2. If you are playing single player or with people on a LAN only, you can be pretty sure nobody is hacking/cheating in the game you are playing without your knowledge.

3. Why play over a slower more limited internet connection, connecting to other outside servers, and all the various jump points in between, when you could just play over a more robust Gb LAN? DUH!

They should do the same with Diablo 3, this game is clearly a console / smartphone / Wii / ipad compatible project, not that there is anything "wrong" with that, but it is the clear reason why it's taking 12 years to produce a sequel, that should have been already out at least 7 years ago, so we can have Diablo 4 or 5 today.
no buddy, you can go play your COD that comes out every year or NFS (if that garbage can even be called a video game...) when D3 comes out I want it to feel like D3 from Blizzard, not D3 from EA.

I want to feel like I'm playing D3 from Blizzard, too bad I would feel like I'm playing D3 from Activision. The game has been over monetized, and requires internet access for single player. I purchase single players games to use when no internet is available, like on an airplane and no their shitty in flight wifi doesn't count as internet.

Blizzard/Activision has come out and said they would control all item drops via their servers, then they follow it up with the ability to sell in game items for real world cash. How long do you think it will take for them to sell items themselves and remove them from dropping ever?

[citation][nom]crysex[/nom]I just finished played the Beta. Diablo 3 is nothing like D2 and it is junk. The art style is recycled from WOW and cartoonish animation makes me feels the game is for teens. A 2012+ game has such low res that you can't even see your character's face clearly. Lack of customization and required online even on single player mode ruin this game on every every aspect. D3 is gona be a total failure if it releases without serious modification.[/citation]

I felt the same when i finished the beta, it really doesn't feel like "Diablo" at all. It feels closer to all the clones that have come out for phones and tablets; similar to Gameloft's Dungeon Hunter. It's because of that fact alone that I can see the possibility of the person who mentioned the game being built for tablet/phone/iDevices. All that said it is somewhat enjoyable but I don't think it will have that lasting appeal that you return to years down the road like I did so many times with Diablo II.

2 releases in 2012? I thought they said 3 back at blizzcon. Total fail if they don't deliver D3, and the expacs for SC2 and WoW....

AAAAHHHHHH WTF!!! THERE IS NOTHING WORTH PLAYING FOR THE NEXT 5 MONTHS NOW! back to staring at my desktop wishing something was exciting enough to play.

anybody have a hack for online connection and lan enabling for new blizzard software?
include a wall paper and set the price of the wall paper for $5-$10 and you'll be a millionaire within a year.

what? encourage people to download pirated versions of the game?????
Just buy it~ you will only have to connect to the internet to re-validate your game once every few months. if you cant get online once every few months than you have other issues to deal with.
blizzard deserves every penny they earned for their games. maybe with the exception of WOW. as that was a bit steap of a monthly fee.
all of blizzards games are fantastic IMO. diablo2 was amazing, and its not only the attention to detail or the game design. i think i know their secret.. its the audio, the voice acting, the soundtrack.. its all epic.. buy the diablo2 soundtrack and see for yourself. or listen to samples online.. epic.. the great atmosphere in world of warcraft wouldn't exist if not for the Music! Ashenvale would be dull, shimmering flats would be dull, orgrimmar would be booring.. Blizzard does it right. go listen to diablo2 soundtrack, you can feel the horror!

[citation][nom]supall[/nom]Apparently, you haven't known Blizzard for very long. The only game that got "Duke Nukem'd" in Blizzard's history was Starcraft:Ghost. Luckily, they scrapped it instead of tarnishing their reputation with a half-baked console game.[/citation]

Warcraft Adventures: Lords of the Clan was also scrapped. Just sayin'.
