Okay, I'll keep that in mind :-D.

Well, the problem is I have no way to make the payment :-( -- there's no
international payment option for me... But as 3$ isn't much maybe it would
be the first support I would get from someone for DoomRL/DiabloRL (hint,
hint ;-)).

He's probably (hopefully) talking about Elite II:
http://www.frontier.co.uk/games/frontier/

Found via Google and "frontier game". 😉 It'd make a great pseudo-
roguelike, so to speak.

Oh, by the way, Kornel:

I miss the BELT pockets! 🙂

You know, the things you can use simply by pressing the number keys
1-8... If (and I hope very much that it will be) you offer another
release, maybe that could be implemented?

Idea:
go into the inventory and move the highlight over the item, then press
the key where you want to "put" it to...

And in the main screen (between the health and mana globes) you could
but eight small boxes and display the items there, only the "!" for
potions etc... Just an idea though 🙂

To repeat: DAMN COOL GAME!!!

Didn't need the inventory space, kept all random enchanted item drops.

I may be a roguelike fan, but Frontier (and FFE, which is it's texturized
and plot-enchanced upgraded version) is IMHO the best computer game ever
created. No game ever made me feel so free, so unrestricted. No game ever
immersed me so much.

Got this game a few days ago and I agree, it's fantastic. The fact that
you can fly from deep space to some planet and land on it is ubercool
(although I wasted 2 hours trying to accomplish that with engines in the
OFF mode - still cannot do it clearly).

Duh, and now imagine a remake with today's cutting edge graphics :-D. And
GenRogue's random quest engine ;-). And a lot more variety between
spaceports. About landing -- I once managed to manualy land land on a gas
giant -- try to beat that :-D

No game ever left me spending so much time pointing a line at a dot,
sadly :/ Other than that, it was great.

Yes...my memories of Elite are bound to the glorious days of the C64.
Loved the graphics :).
