My friend has been trying to get RGB fans for his case and he got them today from amazon with Molex connectors, ever since he got them, I tried to help him install them
His PC was off during that time but the power cable was still plugged in if I recall
To be honest I do not much knowledge with molex connections in fans
I was not sure where exactly I told him to plug it in but it did not turn on the first attempt which I knew it was incorrectly plugged in , and after we gave up in like 3 attempts, we unplugged the fans and plugged everything back in and it won't turn on at this point
Which makes me believe I have potentially short-circuited his PC,
from my knowledge right now, If i researched right, i was supposed to connect one of the cables to the motherboard but it was connected into the power supply which probably created the short circuit
So did I short-circuit his power supply or motherboard?
CPU:I7-8700
Motherboard: Gigabyte B365M DS3H Micro ATX LGA 1151
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory
GPU: MSI Radeon RX 570 8GB Armor OC
PSU: Corsair CXM 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply
Case: Cooler Master Masterbox Q300L Micro ATX Mini Tower Case
