Question Did my cleaning fix the fan error ?

I have a family member who has a Dell XPS 13 and one day it started giving them a fan error and so they ordered a replacement and I took the laptop apart to find that the fan was for the wrong model (fan was for 9370-80 and this is a 7390 I believe).

I looked but couldn't find the fan and heatsink assembly for sale unless it was used on eBay. So I took a brush and cleaned out the dust on the fan and the vents and then I downloaded Core Temp and at idle the CPU was at about 60c°.

So I downloaded Cinebench and stress tested the CPU and it stayed at 60-65c° and I did that for a couple minutes and there was no error. They live about 4hrs away and I'm leaving Saturday so I don't have a whole lot of time here.

Since you cleaned the fans, it'd be a good idea to replace the thermal paste(and if possible the pads with higher quality pads).
