Did my tbird burn

OMG! And upon checking the processor i noticed something quite odd, the warranty sticker on the bottom was slightly burn with a smokey smell to it..... (I was checking it because my system wont boot into bios (first time trying to boot))

might be the sticker burning off. T-Birds get real hot without the propper cooling. IF it runs, then ur okay for now. If it don't, congrats on blowing out ur processor. but that all depends on whether you tried to OC ur processor and now ur CMOS and BIOS won't except it. if thats the case reset your CMOS, and you should be able to get a boot, thats if u didn't fry it.

try flashing your bios. you bios might be corrupt.

Since when has a BIOS caused a CPU to run hot? or burn up? And how would a flash of the BIOS fix it? Unless the Voltage reg goes wacko on the board, or gets hit by a power spike, I know of nothing that will burn up a CPU other than improper cooling, or overclocking to high causing it to overheat.

It stands to reason if the CPU was hot enough to scorch paper, Its probably fried.
