Question Did the cpu burned?

Hello. The other day I went to turn on my computer n°2, bought a short time ago. I had unplugged it. As soon as I reconnected it, to my surprise, it turned on automatically.I thought it was weird, but anyway, soon after I turned on the monitor. I waited a few moments and saw that nothing appeared on the screen. A little later I went down to move the cabinet when I felt a little smell of burning. I tried to turn off the pc by the button, but it did not work. Then I turned off the computer through the outlet. Shortly after, I tried again. The same happened again. However this time, I removed the Cabinet cover. You could see clearly that the fan was slowing down little by little, getting slower and slower, until it stopped.

So, my questions are?
1) total cpu loss?
2) possible fan loss?
3) possible loss of something else (motherboard)4) in the previous days I had problems turning on the computer. If I did not fit the power cable very well in the outlet and then the same in the socket, the pc would not turn on. Could this bad contact have been the cause?
