Anyone can tell me the difference between GT and GS in a NVidia GPU??? I was planning to buy a MSI NX7600GS 512MB Ram but came across NX7600GT 256MB Ram. Now any suggestions as to which one should i opt for and WHY???!!
Scroll to the bottom of this page... these specs are shared by both the GS and the GT. So what's different? The GT should have higher clock speeds on the GPU and a faster memory bus.

The GT runs at much highere clockspeeds on both the core and memory.
A 256mb 7600 GT will be much faster than a 7600 GS in games, althoguh you might be limited to slightly lower-resolution textures because of less memory in this case. But the 7600 GS isn't fast enough to play games at a decent resolution anyway, regardless of texture size.
I'd still go for the GT. Actually, I'd probably pay the extra few bucks for an X1950 PRO, which is WAYYY faster for only a few extra bucks...
The 7900GS can be overclocked to near 7900GT speeds (in fact, BFG sells such a card that's OCd out of the box). The GT also has a few more "units" available than the GS, but there's been some evidence (though many more failures) that some GS's can have their "missing" units unlocked.
thx. I know htat X1950PRO (256MB GDDR3, rite??) too is a good choice but i have one more question. what would you guys go for if given options of 7600GS 256MB and 7300GT 256MB, provided 7600GT is not available in the market currently and will take a month or so to come???
Thank you for all of your help. I finally got a MSI NX7600GT 256MB video card. But after viewing the core clock and memory clock in the system information of **nTUne, i saw that Core Clock is 560 (which is okay with the manufacturer's spec) and in Memory Clock is 700 MHz (DDR) (which is NOT okay with the manufacturer's spec of 1400MHz)

DDR memory means that the speed (frequency) is effectivly doubled in real life perform (or so they tell us). So the 700mhz is effectivly doubled to get the 1400mhz, as stated above.
