Expo is memory training for AMD AM5 platforms. That's different to XMP which is set values at a factory level. You assume that generic factory settings are peak performance, that's not the case. Where Expo comes in is it tests the ram to gain peak performance, without you as a user going into bios and playing with the timings. What you may think is peak performance is often not what the pc decides is best. Most of the settings changed will be the Secondary and Tertiary timings not just the Primary timings.

So performance loss from just XMP? Possibly. No guarantees. Your pc and Expos settings will be the deciding factor and that's anyone's guess.
